CRAFS scholar graduates with vision for Malawi's health


The Center for Resilient Agri-Food Systems (CRAFS) offers various opportunities, including scholarships, to both local and international postgraduate students studying at the University of Malawi. Mr. Chisomo Singano, who graduated on 1st May 2025, was among the students who received scholarships from CRAFS.

“I’m deeply grateful to CRAFS for the funding support during my postgraduate studies, which enabled me to complete my MSc in Biostatistics,” he said. “This achievement has equipped me with advanced statistical skills, empowering me to meaningfully contribute to evidence-based decision-making in my field.”

He mentioned that he is committed to applying this expertise to improve health outcomes in Malawi. “Through research, data analysis, and collaboration with professionals, I aim to inform policies and practices that positively impact public health.” Mr. Singano further shared his future plans, which include pursuing a PhD in Statistics to enhance his research capabilities.
