The University of Malawi, with support from CRAFS, NCST, LMS, and SMB, is hosting the 2025 Applied Mathematics Research School (ARMS), which runs until 31st January 2025.
This prestigious event unites leading mathematicians, researchers, and academics from across Southern Africa, including Zimbabwe, Namibia, Tanzania, and South Africa, to explore the application of mathematics in addressing real-world challenges.
In his remarks during the official opening, Professor Cosmo Ngongondo, Executive Dean of the School of Natural and Applied Sciences, highlighted the event’s focus on equipping participants with essential software tools and data analysis techniques to address critical issues in health, the environment, and other sectors.
