Celabrating African Women in Mathematics

Sponsored by Center for Resilient Agri-food Systems (CRAFS) and the Committee for Women in Mathematics (IMU)Centre for Research in African Women in Mathematical Sciences aims to support young and early-career female mathematicians across Africa by focusing on work-life balance through collaborative research. Over the course of one year, the program will provide mentorship, research opportunities, and professional support.

Having rained over 40 participants, the initiative aims to reduce the gender gap in mathematics by offering interviews, focus groups, and collaborative research activities. 

The program is guided by organizers from various universities in Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, and Kenya.
