The aim of the programme is to produce a highly trained food scientist who will contribute to knowledge generation, inform food policy and produce a range of nutritious food products. The programme has a duration of 2 years.

- It produces graduates that are well equipped to effectively, plan, conduct research, and disseminate research findings in food science
- It enables graduates to acquire relevant transferable knowledge and skills in food analysis, food processing, product development and laboratory skills for measuring, controlling and modifying the chemical and physical properties of food.
Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition and related fields with at least a strong pass or its equivalent from any accredited institution of higher learning.
